Dr. Melanie Chieng, Acupuncturist, DACM, Dipl. OM, LAC

Dr. Melanie is a Licensed Acupuncturist + Chinese Herbalist. She is a nationally certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed in the state of Missouri. She received her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science, and her Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS University, with specialized training in Chinese herbal medicine and orthopedic acupuncture. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Physiology/Organismal Biology and a minor in Psychology from Drexel University.

Melanie was raised utilizing the foundations of Chinese medicine in combination with modern biomedicine. She was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare at a young age and as she got older, realized the power of holistic health approaches like acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and cupping. She is very passionate about helping her patients achieve their health goals and supporting them on their wellness journeys. Although Melanie can treat many different conditions with her knowledge and background of Chinese medicine, she specializes in women’s health, pain and musculoskeletal disorders, mental-emotional health, and pediatrics. She is also very interested in acupuncture research and an advocate of integrative health. When not at Golden Door, you can find Melanie reading, traveling or hiking.
